ALEX IS APPEARING AT THE
AMAZING GREAT CHILDREN'S PARTY 2007
FULL DETAILS BELOW!
Alexander has successfully auditioned and won a place over 200 other applicants at the London auditions for the stage production of "Stars in Their Eyes", as a "Stars Kid" as Gareth Gates due to be held in the West End next year, possibly at the Palladium! Ages for this were between 8-16 years.
Alexander was the youngest of four contestants on the Saturday Show on BBC Television on 23rd August 2003. This was for the "Gareth Gates
Karaoke" competition, in which he had to sing live on national TV!
This competition attracts over 500 entries per week and he lost by an incredibly small margin of 11 votes - via a public phone in - over 40,000 votes were cast! He so obviously captured the hearts of all the girls in the studio audience, gettting the loudest of cheers!
He was also the youngest of 50 finalists invited to audition before Sylvia Young at the "Camp Fame Day" held by "Smash Hits Magazine". Ages were 8 -18. This was a competition surrounding the release of a new performing arts film called
"Camp" which premiered in London on the 31st August. The day included workshops and an invitation to the premier. The winner also received a placement at Sylvia Young's summer school. Although too young to actually win the placement, 11 is the minimum entrance age - he found it a fantastic experience! Please see the major announcement concerning the Sylvia Young Theatre School below!
He also made the UK national final of "Jam on the Mic" - a singing competition held in association with Asda and "Jammy Dodgers" biscuits. The regional heat was held on the 23rd October 2003 and Alexander beat 12 other children from as far away as Reading and Tilbury to secure a place in the final with the top 10 in the country!
He recorded his performance at a special day held on Sunday 9th November at the world famous Abbey Road Studios. This was shown on Fox Kids TV between November 29th and the 14th December 2003. The winner was decided by the public, who voted for their favourite online at www.foxkids.co.uk and by telephone and text.
The prize was a day as a pop star - limo treatment with styling, voice coach, makeover and choreographer included, so that the winner could record their winning song as a CD single!
Alex says...................
"I made the Top 5! A very big thank you to all who took the trouble to vote for me! Although I was not the winner, I have had a fantastic time!"
Alexander won the weekly, Nestle sponsored, "Choc Idol" singing competition! This was held in the main Skyline Arena at Butlins, Minehead, on Monday 29th December 2003!
In front of over one thousand appreciative holidaymakers, he beat seven other adult competitors to the grand prize - a state of the art "Pop Idol" karaoke system - courtesy of Nestle, wowing the judges and audience who gave him a standing ovation! What a great start to 2004!
He has gone on to make the final eight boys considered for the role of "Michael Banks" in the forthcoming West End smash "Mary Poppins". Picked from the open auditions, over 1800 boys were seen for the role!
Alexander won his heat in the "UK Unsigned" talent quest, held on 16th October 2004 at the Harrow Arts Centre. He also booked his winning place at the semi-finals held in June 2005 and also won through again to compete in the National Finals! Details of the final are further on.
Alex competed in the finals of the "Talent Search" competition held at Butlins Bognor Regis on Thursday the 21st October 2004 - the winner returned to sing with Miss-Teeq that weekend at the resort!
His radio debut was made on the "Paul Ross" show, on LBC 97.3 FM on the 27th November 2004. Paul kindly invited him to sing to London, having seen this website. Our thanks go to all at LBC for this opportunity to show London just what a sensational performer Alexander is!
The photo at the top of the site shows Alexander and Paul Ross in the LBC studio! He was invited back to LBC to sing some seasonal songs on Christmas Day 2004, due to overwhelming support from listeners!
Following Alexander's Christmas Day appearance on LBC Radio, he was delighted to be asked to sing at the "Mad Hatter's Tea Party" at the Grosvenor House Hotel, on Sunday 16th January 2005. This annual event is held by the London Taxi Driver's Association for Underprivileged Children - 650 children with special needs, being given a party to remember and Alexander is proud to have taken part by entertaining them with his singing! He has since returned in 2006 and also took part in this year's party; January 2007. He will be part of their 80th Anniversary celebrations next year for 2008, having already been asked to participate.
Maureen Levy, from the LTDF commitee expressed her thanks and also commented, "You just get better and better!"

Covent Garden Market Manager, Amanda Spedding said, “We wish Alexander all the best of luck in his career and hope to see him here again soon.”
At the final of "UK Unsigned 2005", his runner-up place confirmed his continuing success as a talented young singer. The final was held at London's HACKNEY EMPIRE on August 7th. This was in front of a judging panel of influential industry representatives and invited celebrities.
We are pleased and delighted to announce that Alexander is now in his second year at London's famous Sylvia Young Theatre School, having successfully auditioned for a coveted place at Britain's premier Theatre School.
